The National Rural Networks 2007-2013 LAGs in Finland will have a chance to influence the forming of the new Rural Network. LAG-hearings concerining the matter will be arranged in different locations between December 2006 and February 2007. The Rural Network will take in to consideration the particular needs of LAGs. An other large hearing will take place in March-April of 2007 in which the final goals and aims of the Rural Network will be presented. slideshow

	News Good competetivness in the Nordic countries The Nordic Countries: The level of global competetivness in the Nordic countries is hopeful. Not nearly among the best but still at a good mediocre level that places the Nordic countries among the top 10 in the world in several key areas. These results are compiled in the so called "Danish characterbook" which in turn is compiled of the results of the competetivness report by the Dansih government.The discussions in the book support the conclusions made by the Danish Globalisation Counsel and reflects the challanges of globalisation in Denmark. Among the areas pointed out by the report, the largest challange is the level of expert knowledge among youth, which in some cases are far behind in many Nordic countries. Finland is an exception in this area and ranks among the top 10. Source; Gränsbrytning 21.2006
